Beauty | Nude Brown / Brown Lip liner Swatches

When it comes to brown and nude lips, thats me right there! lol. I just love lipstick/lip liners that can help you achieve that nude brown lips that I want. In fact generally speaking, I love most brown make ups - my pretty much everyday eye look I wear is eyeliner with brown eye shadow (Bourjois Extrait 08).

I love how lips with nude brown colour looks so simple and elegant as if when you look at it, it conveys that the make up is still there but still leaves you with 'Oh so simple, but such a beautiful make up' on your mind. I love how it's not excessively noticeable like any other vibrant colours such as red as a common. It's just the fact that nude brown lips makes you have that natural look that it almost give people dilemma of you not wearing any lips make up and you can have that 'natural look' as if you nearly inherited.

I currently own few brown lip liner that I want to share with you guys. If you're the lover of brown lips like me and you haven't purchased them before, you'll have a rough idea of how they look. They are:
  • Max Factor 14 Brown n Nude
  • Max Factor 16 Brown n bold
  • Rimmel London 046 Ultimate
  • Maybelline New York Eyeliner Matic Brown-Sepia
  • SEVENTEEN 17 Mocha
Do note that most of the colours in the swatches sort of tend to look similar. From reddish brown to dark brown.

Max Factor Color Elixir 14 Brown n Nude

Max Factor Color Elixir 16 Brown n bold

Rimmel London 046 Ultimate

Maybelline New York Eyeliner Matic Brown-Sepia
Yes you may have noticed from the name that this is an eyeliner. It doesn't really matter if you put on your lips though. Doesn't affect you. I loved the colour that this particular eyeliner had for the type of brown lips I wanted to obtain.

17 Mocha

All the lip liners were purchased on different timings. I don't use the lip liners just to draw the outline of my lips. I literally use them as a proper lipsticks too. They are too pretty to use them for just the out-linings hehe.  Before I start drawing the outlines with my lip pencil, I first apply my lip balm on the lips for the drawing to be smooth and fine. Then I start filling in my lips and I love how with the help of a lip balm, it is so easy to apply the lip liners just like a lipstick without worrying about the lips drying out. Most colour swatches in here look sort of the same or close enough.

Now if you are like me, I have a problem with colours of lipsticks / lip liners not being able to look on my lips how they actual look when you swatch on your hand skin when testing the colour. This is because I naturally have pink lips so when I put them on, the colours do not look the same as it blends with my natural pink lips. Sometimes I try putting concealers on the lips first as the base and put the lipstick later which will help me achieve the 'right' colour on my lips. Sometimes this doesn't work as the concealers really dry my lips out badly which doesn't look very nice. So I have kind of stuck with no choice but accept with the 'blended' lipstick/lip liner colour on my lips. If you have any ideas or techniques you want to share with to help me achieve the best 'true' colour as possible please do leave comments, you're most welcome too : ) <3

Saree Shopping :D

Hello again :) I wanted to share one of the time I spent in Nepal while going for Saree shopping and something that made me so happy that day apart from getting the sarees :D. As I'm Nepalese and Hindu, I love and the word LOVE sarees. Saree for me, is one of the most feminine look a woman can ever wear <3 . There is a famous quote made by someone about saree that says: ''Saree covers the right amount, and reveals the right amount. Its such a perfect tease''. And hell yes that is indeed 100% accurate and the perfect description for it I agree.

As any Asian would do in Asia, you gotto bargain for anything that you want to buy lol. And as any Asian seller, they add massive amount of profit in the goods they are selling sometimes the profit ALONE is more than the actual price they purchased. To start off with the story of that day, I want to share a little information of my family that will be needed to understand what is going on. My family owns a clothes shop in Nepal, its a solo business, like majority of the shops in Nepal, like in most Asia. My family has different links with lots of other shops where we buy stocks for our own shop. The shop in the pictures I've posted here is one of them and is in a place called Pokhara. Theshop was kind of hectic and pretty big with many workers which the main owner of the shop hired, each of them displaying different things that their customers were looking for. When my mother sister was looking for the goods for our own shop for selling, I was too busy dribbling for all the beautiful and sophisticating sarees as I was seeing them hanging hehe.

As it had been years and years I left Nepal, I wanted to know what the pricing for sarees were. I pointed out to one of the saree that was hanging and asked one of the worker for the price, the worker stood up to look at the label and said ' it's 22 thousand rupees''. Inside I was like what? Ok forget it. LOL. I could already have that feeling of giving up as there was no way I would be able to afford even one saree with that price, even after bargaining. Then, after a while after looking at I had an urge to ask the price of the Same saree that was hanging, but this time I asked the main owner. Straight away, without looking he said that one is 7 thousand rupees O_O

At that moment I first thought that the first worker somehow had a mistake reading the price or something lol. But when I told my big sister about what I heard, the answer she gave me made me so damn happy! She told me that both prices I heard are right, 22 thousand rupees is probably the price they're selling to 'normal customers' who comes to buy. What do I mean by 'normal customers'? Well the main owner 'knew' me as my family is a regular wholesale customer, so he was being nice to me telling me the wholesale price of that saree!!
Basically I was so damn lucky to be part of my family where the seller was willing to sell me the sarees with the wholesale price not the actual price they're selling to normal customers !!!

C'mmon, 22 thousand rupees and 7 thousand rupees what a huge gap! Straight away after hearing what my sister told me, my heart could feel that 'giving up' mood fading straight away :D I became a happiest bunny ever!  Its like I didn't even had to bother bargaining. The seller was too generous. Amen.
This shop is madness! So many sarees to choose from. So little time. I love playing with other colours but never get tired of  red sarees.

Two of the sarees that came home with me on that day.

Its a bit coincidence the way both of them happened to have green border hehe. Red and green colour combination like on the left is one of the many famous colour combination in sarees, plus I love the type of print that this particular one has. This particular saree on the left was the first saree that I had my eyes on, after going through lots of other kinds of red-green sarees in the shop, I stuck to the very first saree I saw because most of them had something that I didn't really like. The second saree on the right I was bit unsure deciding in the shop, plus seeing all  the countless sorts of colours who wouldn't have indecisive mind! Plus that is something how I always am when it comes to coming up with a valid decision, always leave myself with dilemmas. Anyway, going back to the topic of second saree, the colour in the picture looks bit more purple than it is. In real, the colour is more of a Magenta colour which is one of my favourite colours I'm into recently. I like how the Magenta colour is not entirely pink but not entirely purple, its more of a colour in between as if they're mixed. So yeah, the colour of the saree in real is Magenta.

Sarees stacked in the shelves with colour co-ordination. This is how my saree wardrobe should be looking . Sigh , hehe
