Fashion | Sheinside Houndstooth Coat Review

If you're a Sheinside browser then I'm sure you've definitely come across this coat before. I had been eyeing on this coat from tiimmeeee and just love everything about this coat. This coat is with no doubt every OOTD bloggers favorite and one of the top selling product of Sheinside and other Chinese website who sells this coat. 

I always used to go through the pictures of this coat in the website as well as the buyers ootd post submitted in Sheinside wearing this coat. But I always used to end up holding myself back everytime I try ordering due to my dilemma about the sizes. Since its an Asian company I knew that the size charts were different to western size charts and you have to do some conversion to get the right size for you. I have ordered stuff from Chinese websites in the past but never the clothing so this was my first time which is why I literally took sooo long just to decide the right size and also since I'm super fussy about the fits in clothings. Even though I knew that you gotto go certain sizes up to meet your size requirements, but go how many sizes up exactly?, I didn't know. Ugh, yes they do provide the measurement details but god no they are never said to be accurate or even near to correlate the actual measurements in real. Dilemma was made worse when the reviewers suggested different things about the sizes from their experiences. Some would say going one size up is perfect, while others would say going just one size up is not enough and have to go two sizes up and so on. I know that different people have different preferences to how they want their clothing to fit but my dilemma was enough that I didn't want to risk it for the regrets by taking either of the suggestions.

So after waiting and waiting for my mind to make up the decision, I finally hit the Checkout button and ordered the coat while biting my lip and crossing my fingers to hope for good. Then after 3 weeks give or take, the coat finally arrived and I am now gonna say that I am fairly happy with the purchase. I am UK size XS/6 and ordered Medium and I am so happy that the coat fitted nice and decent on me and didn't look crazy like I feared as the consequences could have been anything. So in the end, me going up to two sizes was indeed the right decision I made!
So here is the long awaited coat and below I'll try my best to review about the quality and fit of the coat so that it helps those who are in the same page as I was. (I hated how there wasn't a single blog review about the coat despite of being so popular -_-).

Fit: 

• The coat fits pretty nicely, and is definitely wearable with enough room inside. It is not tight at all which was the Main fear of mine. 
• The main body parts we would be fussy about such as bust, shoulder and arms are all pretty much perfect on me. Non of these parts of the coat feel too tight or baggy. 
• Therefore, if you are UK size 6/8/XS, I recommend to go for Medium! And those who are not UK 6/8, I recommend you going 2 sizes up like I did if you want to have decent room inside. In conclusion, going just one size up is probably not a good idea. 

Quality: 

• I would rate the quality of this coat to be 7/10. 

• First of all, about the thickness, it is fairly thick. As shown in the picture below, the coat is padded inside including inside the sleeves which makes the coat fairly warm. A lot of reviewers in Sheinside said the coat is more for autumn and definitely not for winter which obviously depends where they're from, but I live in South East of England and I can say I could wear this coat during winter in up to -1oC  (just a rough estimate) and stay fairly warm. However, when the temperature gets worse than that (which is very likely) I can't then wear the coat. 

• One bad side about this coat I noticed straight after wearing it for a day was the coat has too much fluff that comes out way too much. In the picture below, it doesn't look much of a big deal but in real trust me it can be annoying when your scarf and the clothes you're wearing catches the endless fluffs. Plus it also makes the coat look a little cheap.

• The pockets are fake! When the other customers were moaning about the fake pockets in the reviews I wasn't personally fussed that much about it, probably cuz my concentration was on other main things. But now after getting hold of this coat and having my dilemma all cleared out, I can see that the fake pockets can be quite annoying. 

The coat is padded inside including the sleeves which makes it fairly warm. 

The fluffs of the coat can be annoying and also makes the coat look cheap. 

So Overall, I am happy with the coat. Despite of other flaws, my satisfaction of how the coat's fit turned out was good enough to be making the other flaws minor for me. I think this coat is worth every penny (£30) and does the job very well. This coat is such a nice edition to my closet and gives such a chic sense to my outfit.

Fashion | HUGE Spring/Summer Haul (Asos, River Island, Fashion Union, Primark and many more ! )

Hello beauties, so today I decided to do a haul post (as I have been doing) of some clothes I purchased from spring sale. I'm first going to start off this post with River Island. Seriously when sale hits, River Island is one of the top shop that I target, god the costs are so pricy! As you know prints and spring season come hand in hand and as you've seen from my previous post, I just love the prints that River Island makes. I always droll over them but too pricy that I have to risk with patience for them to be on sale and hope that they don't run out of my size by then lol. (If I really buy something on River Island for full price, they have to be so worth it!). So here are the few ones I ordered from River Island and was so glad to have found my size when they finally hit the sale! :D

River Island

So the first one is this beautifully bold printed culottes. As I mentioned in my previous post, I ADORE the bold prints that River Island comes up with. This one, there was no way I would make a miss on top of that when it was on sale!. Only one down side of this trousers though, I would love if this culottes was rather a full trousers like a pallazo pants than cropped. Would really make a beautiful statement piece in the outfit.

I couldn't express how happy I was seeing this blazer available in my size when it finally hit the sale. Trust me if you are UK size 6 like me you know what I mean about the hardship of finding size 6 specially on sale times. This beautiful floral blazer with black stripes is one of the piece I had my eyes on ever since it became available on RI. Now I got this blazer for £25 pounds which would have cost me £48!

Next up is this retro printed orange midi skirt which I absolutely adore about how retro it looks the more I look at it and again is one of the item I had been committing my patience for the sale to happen to this. This skirt is also available on asos and is now on sale for £21 which I was planning to buy from. Luckily one time when I went to RI store to collect one of my delivery, I saw this skirt hanging on the rail just behind me when I was getting served and saw the big tag of £12! So yeah, I went to get my delivery but came out with another purchase hehe.

Asos

I got inspired to buy this Asos skirt  by seeing the beautiful outfit post made by Tie bow tie, Click here to see. This skirt is now out of stock on asos unfortunately, but I'm so glad I saw this post on time to order it before it becomes out of stock for my size.

Fashion Union

This is my first ever order I made from Fashion Union. As I saw the following three beauts on sale. First of all I should say I would give the rating of the delivery service from this company to be very poor. The delivery came really slow and when it came to my door, the qualities of the clothes didn't amaze me at the same time. Not to mention the sizings are also bit put off. It's quite weird as I'm normally size 6 and size 6 is normally XS, however they showed XS as 8 which was the smallest they did in sizes. So for all of these items I ordered XS anyway as I could sometimes wear 8 to have baggy fit but no! when I tried them on, specially the jumpsuit, I could hardly be able to pull them pass my thighs! The jumpsuit was super tight, the cami top had my arm pit fats showing due to being too small round the corner and the skorts had my back cheeks showing, Eek!

Primark

When it comes to summer time in Primark, I really gotto admit my obsession for the collections they make. I know a lot of ladies can probably feel me. I have mainly be obsessing over the jumpsuits in Primark recently, they are just lurvvvee. Strappy, crepe, zipped, cami, frilled and shirt jumpsuit, gotto love them all and not to mention the gorgeous prints.

So this jumpsuit is that one out of few others that made my eyes glitter. What got me the most obviously is what you could guess the Lovely Bright print that screams for summer. Just love the selection of these two orange and purple colours and love how they are equally bold and dominant to each other. I couldn't risk for this jumpsuit to be on sale and have a potential regret of losing my size so I got this jumpsuit on full price £15 but still its so much worth it! 

Next is this beautiful 90s style printed midi skirt which I already love for the print but along with that it has another vintage element on it which is this style of buttons at the front all the way. This skirt was originally £10 but got it on sale for £5 :D Another bargain find!

Eeekk sorry about the crease lol. 

All of these clothes weren't purchased on the same day! Not even the clothes that are from the same shop were purchased on the same day. For instance this jumpsuit below was purchased just the day before when I hit the new Primark shop in Canterbury, Kent. Loving it due to the size of the store as it's definitely bigger than the store where I live (Folkestone). I loved this shirt jumpsuit just from the way its designed even though I wasn't that much Wow'd by the print. So I added this jumpsuit with few other ones I was going to go to the fitting room with and I have to say when I tried it on, the fitting of this jumpsuit just Wow'ed me so much I HAD to get it! It hugs my body really well and sits everywhere perfectly that it shows off my feminine shape really nicely even though the jumpsuit own it's own looks more of a boyish chic than girly.

Beauty | MAC illustrated by Rebecca Moses Brown Face Kit Swatches and Review

Hello beauties, I hope you're doing well. As usual I keep promising myself that I make sure I post as much and as frequent as I can to make that archive look more attractive! But sadly my uni life gets in the way. But I know next time I'm gonna post, I will be saying the same thing . Lol. 
Today I thought I would share you with some pictures of the new make up kit by MAC Illustrated by Rebecca Moses which I got sent from my sister from Hong Kong :D.  

First of all, I love this limited edition packaging. The packaging was created by fashion designer Rebecca Moses exclusively for MAC. The official black packaging is replaced with white background with sketches of gorgeous eyes, lips and black swirls. The product is adorned with the same design as is on the open ended cardboard sleeve that covers the product. Both the cardboard cover and the product has a beautiful, soft texture and feels so luxurious to handle. 

Just lifting up the lid and looking at the shades inside I was really amazed how all the different colours in the palette were so pretty as if they're complimenting each other. I think the kit is literally a neutral lovers heaven! with collective palette of each prettier than the next. 

So what's inside this kit?

A peachy blush that I gathered is a  MAC Melba which adds a beautiful sheen to your cheeks. Next up we have four bronze/neutral hued eye shadows. Those who have read my past posts, may not be surprised to know that the brown eye shadow in this kit is my favorite. The palette also comes with duo brush and a mirror which is always perfect on the go as well as two Mac lipsticks protected under the plastic flap. 

Mac Melba blush: The peachy blush described by Mac as a 'soft, coral peach' which I think agree with that. Even though personally not being a big fan of blushes, I think this shade suits most skin complexion. It is matte and I think it goes well with most make up looks as the shade is neutral and not too vibrant and noticeable. 

Eye Shadows

The four eye shadows are a perfect combination of matte and shimmer, light and dark. The only eye shadow that I currently use in this palette is the brown which is Smoked Sepia. I'm not a big fan of glitter and shimmer that much as I like my eye make up to be smokey and matt. Even though I don't personally use every other eye shadow, to those who are into these colours/texture, I want to tell you that they blend so effortlessly on the skin and also with each other. Either a ''natural day look'' or ''deepen it up and go dramatic for a night out'', there is obviously a valid reason for these combination to live inside the same palette home. 

This shadow is called Orb and has a matt texture even though it is described as ''soft, peachy satin''. The shadow has the tiniest amount of glitter that it hardly transfers to the skin so I would not describe it having the satin finish. I think I might be using this shadow as a highlighter for my brows sometimes lol.

All that glitters is described as ''beige with gold pearl'' has a goldy shimmer/satin finish look. The two pictures are taken in different lighting. This shadow has become the most hit for many girls but as I am not a fan of glitter at all, this one turns out to be my least favorite in this palette. 

Next up, we have Smoked Sepia which as mentioned earlier is my favorite. It is described as ''rich brown'' and is definitely how it looks and how I would like. Brown eye shadow is something I apply on to my eye lids to achieve that smokey but neutral eyes for everyday look. It is my all time favorite eye colour. Yes I mentioned favorite again.

Described by Mac as 'dark brown', last but not least is the Show Stopper that looks like the darkest shade in brown spectrum.

Lips wear

Last but not least in the palette, the kit comes with two gorgeous MAC lipsticks named Ravishing (top) and Myth (bottom). I love the little plastic flap that is there to protect the lipsticks from getting any fall outs of the powder.

Duo Brush

This gorgeous palette also comes with a duo brush - One end you have 275 SE angled brush which is perfect for applying the shadows over the eyelids. On the other end is the 316 SE brush which is a lip brush. Both the brushes are just amazing, with soft texture and blends the shadows and lipsticks really well.
